Named for the Artcrank Chicago exhibit

Very happy to announce that I’ll be one of the artists in the first Artcrank exhibit in Chicago. The exhibit will be taking place May 17th at the Co-Prospertiy Sphere. So fairly soon I’ll be creating some bike themed poster art for sale at the event. This will be the second time I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in an Artcrank event. The first was at Interbike in Las Vegas last year.

Artcrank has a nonprofit partnership the World Bicycle Relief, that’s provided more than 100,000 bicycles to people in developing countries and gives them sustainable transportation and improved access to education, healthcare and economic opportunity.

Poster design for Sandy Hook benefit concert

The Arc Agency decided to host a benefit concert for the tragedy that recently happened in Connecticut. This event is actually the second night of benefit concerts taking place in the state and the proceeds from the concert will be going to the Newtown Youth and Family Services.

I was more than willing to help out and design a poster to promote the show. The benefit show is a wonderful gesture to show tribute, raise donations, and bring many people from the Connecticut community together in order to cope with the losses they’ve recently had.

The latest video I put together for Wild Method Workshop. ‘Pass on the Politics’ is a song from Cleveland punk band Lawskof’s debut. To listen to the band’s debut release, check out their BANDCAMP.

Participating in Interbike 2012

Very excited to announce that I’ll be having artwork on display at Interbike 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada curated through ARTCRANK.

I was selected as one of 26 artists to have bicycle themed poster art showcased (and for sale) during the event this September.

ARTCRANK is a show of bicycle inspired poster artwork showcasing local artists and has held shows in cities such as Denver, St. Louis, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

Also, $5 from every poster purchased will be donated to World Bicycle Relief, a nonprofit partnership. World Bicycle Relief has provided more than 100,000 bicycles to people in developing countries.

I’m so fortunate to be participating in the show, and being able to mix my love of bikes with poster art. The fun begins with sketching some concepts this week!
